Across Europe, millions of tonnes of perfectly good food are wasted every year. This isn't just a missed opportunity to feed vulnerable populations; it's a significant driver of climate change. Every kilogram of wasted food generates 2.5 kilograms of CO2, turning kitchens across the continent into inadvertent climate accelerators.
Inspired by the philosophy that waste is simply a lack of imagination, Verkflöde was founded to transform this challenge into an opportunity. We're developing an innovative approach to food intelligence that helps kitchens learn from collective insights while maintaining complete control over their data.
Our Swedish-designed solution processes information locally and instantly, enabling real-time decision-making without compromising privacy. This represents a fundamentally new approach to sustainability technology—one that aligns with Europe's values of data sovereignty and environmental responsibility.

Alex Bahari
After three decades of helping organizations transform through technology, I'm now focused on solving a problem that affects millions of businesses across Europe. My background as a technology consultant and director in digital transformation, stakeholder management, and complex enterprise projects has equipped me with the skills to build meaningful solutions for sustainability.
My journey from the corporate world to a startup is driven by a passion for leveraging technology to solve real-world problems. With Verkflöde, we are building edge AI solutions that help food businesses not only reduce waste but also meet the urgent sustainability requirements of the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Where We Are Today
Verkflöde is currently in an exciting development phase. We're building our initial prototype with guidance from Swedish food industry experts and preparing for pilot deployments in 2025.
